Dr. Amadou Alpha Sall is virologist and currently serves as the General Administrator of the Institute Pasteur of Professor Ames Dhai is a renowned authority in bioethics with a leading role in entrenching bioethics and human rights as an integral aspect of health sciences. A trained physician and a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, Professor Dhai has been an esteemed academician, a leading health advocate and activist both locally in South Africa and internationally. She is the founder of the Steve Biko Centre for Bioethics at the Wits Faculty of Health Sciences. Professor Dhai consults various international organizations and is currently a member of the International Bioethics Committee, UNESCO, and a member of the African Advisory Committee for Health Research Development at the WHO.
