Dr. Ahmed Ogwell Ouma is a renowned global civil servant and an expert in the public health field for over 25 years, having overseen implementation of numerous health policies in African countries. His knowledge of governmental structures has helped achieve public health goals within nations during his time as an Advisor in the Global Coordination Mechanism for NCDs and as Programme Manager for Primary Prevention of NCDs and Regional Adviser for Tobacco Control at the WHO. Dr. Ogwell Ouma was the founding director for the NCDs in MoH Kenya and also established the Office for International Health Relations. He is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Africa CDC.
