Professor Francois-Xavier Mbopi-Keou serves as Professor of Laboratory Medicine, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon and is an ambassador for the African Society for Laboratory Medicine representing Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. With over 25 years of experience and research in the fields of public health, microbiology/virology, and the fight against HIV/AIDs in Africa, Professor Mbopi-Keou has recently focused on the capacity building of public health systems in Africa to help prepare for emerging health threats.
