Dr. Ilesh Jani is a qualified medical doctor and a public health expert with research interests on HIV/AIDS vaccines and point-of-care laboratory tests, including the deployment of these technologies in resource-limited health systems. Dr. Jani has been instrumental in strengthening the health system in Mozambique and led multiple efforts in the areas of research, public health, education and diagnostics. He currently serves as the Director General of the Instituto Nacional de Saúde, Mozambique’s National Public Health Institute.
